Auburn - Sue Ann Streeter, age 50, died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 6:40 PM at her home in Auburn, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on June 24, 1959 in Columbia City, and was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Elser) Shellman. She has lived in Auburn since 2000, and prior to that she was a lifetime area resident of Albion.
She graduated from Central Noble High School in 1977, and was Vice President of Mechanical Systems in Avilla, where she has been employed since 2004.
On July 8, 2006,she married Dale Streeter in Auburn, he survives in Auburn.
Mrs. Streeter regualary attended church at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Albion. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star Prentiss Chapter for over 25 years, and former member of the Albion American Legion Post 242 Auxilliary.
She loved gardening, sewing, crafts, NASCAR, traveling, but above allloved being with her grandkids, and her family.
Surviving are her husband, Dale; her mother, Elizabeth Shellman of Albion, sons Jeremiah (Amy) Klopfenstein of Portland, Indiana; and Drew (Nicole) Streeter of Tampa, Florida. Daughters, Jessica (Matt) Balyeat of Avilla; Hilary (Carl) McCafferty of Tampa, Florida; and Haley (Alex) Kurr of New Port Ritchie, Florida. Five grandchildren, Mason M. and Myah Balyeat, Kylie and Max Klopfenstein, Adian Streeter and expecting another grandchild to arrive in August.
Brothers, R. Alan (Judy) Shellman of Manteca, California; Michael R. (Terresa) Shellman of Albion, and Mark (Beth) Shellman of Albion. Mother in law, Crystal Streeter of Auburn, and special family friend, Andy Kennedy of Auburn. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father,Robert Shellman on January 31, 2004.
Funeral services for Mrs. Streeter will be Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Brazzell Funeral Home, Albion Chapel. Pastor Sue Socha will officiate. Calling will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home. Prentiss Chapter 178 Order of the Easter Star will conduct a service at 8:00. Calling is also one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Burial will be at Oak Lawn Gardens in Titusville, Florida at a later date.
